Braden School Bell
Harmony Grove United Methodist church history dates back to 1836. In the mid 1800's two separate fires destroyed the church building. Finally in 1881 the church made its final move to its present location when Jesse Lowe Brand donated the land for its use. Harmony Grove was officially organized in 1882.
In 1936, the old Braden School House was closed and torn down. The bell from the Braden School was given to the church and currently is located in front of our church by the main sidewalk.
We continue to move forward with outreach and missions as we live out our mission statement: Enpowered and guided by the Holy Spirit, we will reach out and welcome all people to Christ's love through worship, spiritual growth, service, and fellowship. Our vision for Harmony Grove is Help for today, Hope for tomorrow, Where your heart is at home!
