Accessing the Power of the Holy Spirit

This past Sunday I provided a “diagnosis” of many Christians based on Jesus’ “withdrawal” from us in His Ascension and that in the wake of this, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us and guide us into all truth. The diagnosis is that many if not most Christians do not know how to access the power of the Holy Spirit and thereby bridge the distance between us and Jesus who is now in heaven seated at the right hand of God. Due to this, many of us often feel distant or cut off from God. This next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday when we celebrate the sending of the Holy Spirit to the early church as promised by Jesus. Just because God unleashed the power of the Holy Spirit into the lives of believers, does not mean we know how to access that power in our lives. Because of this, God also gave us a Superpower. It is this Superpower that enables us to access the power of the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. But we must first learn how to unleash this Superpower. Join us this Sunday as we discover what our Superpower is and how to unleash it, so that through it we gain access to the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.

John 16:13: When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
