Baring Witness in the Kin-dom

Rev. Eric Powell, pastor of Dodd-Sterling United Methodist Church, will make his second visit to Harmony Grove UMC to lead the 2021 UMW Mission Study “Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom.” Brought back by popular demand he is inviting both men and women for this important study in today’s world.
Rev. Powell is a dynamic speaker who will use scripture, interesting stories, and audience participation to teach us how we can live to bear moral witness as Christians using four important modules: Grounded Being, Attentive Presence, Historical Clarity, and Meaningful Participation.
Rev. Powell retired on May 1, 2021 from the US Army where he served for 44 years, 30 of which as Master Sergeant. He is currently enrolled at Gammon Theological Seminary of Interdenominational Theology Center, pursuing his Master of Arts in Religious Education.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
