Wednesday Evening Spiritual Growth Class

Beginning on Wed Feb 12 and running for the next nine weeks, Pastor Mark will lead a Bible Study on the Old Testament story of Deborah as found in the Book of Judges. We will be using Sandra Richter’s book from her Epic of Eden series titled, Deborah: Unlikely Heroes and the Book of Judges. As Richter writes, “The Book of Judges narrates one of the most chaotic and morally dark eras of Israel's story. Into this morally-ambiguous time comes one of the most unlikely leaders of the biblical text—the prophet Deborah. Also a wife, mother, priest, and judge, Deborah responds to her call and transforms chaos into order by leading Israel in one of the most pivotal victories of her time.”

• The class will also be available in person and via zoom.
