Our Grand (re)Opening is just around the corner on August 15th and I hope you are as excited as we are! Here are some of the things we will see with our Grand Opening. We will again have two services on Sunday morning, one at 8:30 and one at 11:00, and we will also have almost all of our Sunday School classes meeting. There are many to choose from and we know you can find one that is a good fit for you, especially if you have not yet found one. There are five adult Sunday School classes, and I will be teaching The Wired Word class, which focuses on current news-related issues. We will also have a Children’s class as well as a Youth class. And BTW, we have hired an incoming Candler student, Meredith Webb, who will begin to work with our youth this fall. There is more to come about her. Finally, the Agape Class will also start back up: so, if you know anyone in our community with special needs, this might be a great opportunity for them. Beginning on August 18th, we will start up our Wednesday night gatherings. At 5:00 we will have a fellowship meal, which will be followed by youth and children’s activities at 6:00, as well as an adult Bible Study taught by me. We will be using Sandra Richter’s study on the Book of Psalms. At 6:30 there will be handbells and at 7:00 choir. Can’t wait! Jim Landis will also resume his Bible Study in September, that will meet on Monday mornings. There will be a lot going on! There are numerous opportunities to reengage in our fellowship and I hope you join us!
1 Peter 1:8-9: Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
