Lifeline Animal Project

Our senior social group, The Joy Club, recently had a representative from the Lifeline Animal Project. We wanted to share this information with the community.

Lifeline Animal Project is a Lifesaving Foster Program dedicated to help save lives of sheltered puppies for a day, weekend or longer by helping to relieve the serious overcrowded conditions at some of the metro Atlanta animal shelters.

You can foster a pet by hosting it in your home for a week, month or longer and free up shelter space.  Veterinary care is provided and a starter pack of food and a crate for dogs.

You can take a Dog for a Day and give a dog a break from the shelter and exposure to more potential adopters by taking them out for the afternoon.  A leash, an “Adopt Me” vest or bandana and doggy business cards is provided.

You can host a dog in your home for the weekend with our “Weekend Warrior” and explore Atlanta or be couch potatoes together.   Food, leash, crate and a list of dog-friendly patios and trails is provided.  You provide the LOVE!
