RETURN TO IN-CHURCH SERVICES AT HARMONY GROVE UMC

As we usher in the official beginning of summer, we all wish and wonder when we will be able to meet at church again. These indeed have been challenging times. At present there is not a firm date set for Harmony Grove UMC to return to in-church services. However, we have established a Health and Welfare Committee to help us plan and prepare for eventual return to services at the church.
The Health and Welfare committee consists of Renee Baca, Cheri Gatland-Lightner, Mike Nicovich, Susan Riggle, and Ken Suggs. They will be working with Rev. Dr. Mark LaRocca-Pitts to establish procedures to help protect all participants’ health and safety. Included in these procedures will be mandatory social distancing and the proper wearing of masks (covering the nose and mouth fully, going under the chin) throughout the time we are at the church.
In order to help all of us be as safe as possible, we will need additional volunteers to prepare for and conduct the services. If you are able and willing to help as an usher, cleaner, or in another capacity, please contact Renee Baca (404-790-0482) or one of the other committee members listed above.
Also, we remind you all that streaming services will continue to be available on Facebook, and on YouTube. Harmony Grove UMC cares about the health and well-being of all of our members and attendees, therefore if you are a person with higher risk of developing severe disease from COVID-19 (see CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra- precautions/people-with-medical-conditions.html), we recommend that when in-church services do resume, that you avoid attending in person and join us online.
Note that there will be no nursery during this time and only children that can adhere to the safety procedures should attend service. Again, we will continue to stream the service live on Facebook and we will also make it available on YouTube.
Thank you for your patience as we face these challenging times.
Be well,
Your Harmony Grove Health and Welfare Committee
In Christ’s Love
