Nine shoe boxes are still available to be filled for Samaritan’s Purse. If anyone is interested in filling them, please contact Carolyn Sword or Karen Meyers. There are brochures in each box to let you know what things to pack. The cost of shipping is $9.00 per box, which you can donate. Please write a check to Harmony Grove and designate the check to Samaritan’s Purse or give online and add a note to say that it is for Samaritan’s Purse Christmas shoe boxes. The boxes will be due back to the church by October 25.

On Halloween, Saturday October 31, Harmony Grove is planning an outdoor, socially-distanced Craft Show from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. followed by a Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. We need your help!
Are you crafty? Can you help with planning or day of logistics, such as working the craft table or supporting the screening station? We understand that each of us has different talents and risk factors. Let us know how YOU can help safely. Contact Cheri Gatland-Lightner or Marina Burnett for details.

“Who’s the boss?”

This Sunday, tune in to our online woship or join us here in person at 11:00 as we discuss “authority figures.” Kids often have a lot of different authority figures in their lives; their parents, their teachers, their school administrators. But do they know who the real boss is? Do we? That’s right. It’s God! Come and see how we can recognize God as the true authority in our lives. Remember that God is always in charge!

Special Offering

For nearly 150 years, Wellroot Family Services (formerly called The United Methodist Children’s Home) has nurtured the feeling of home for Georgia’s most vulnerable children, teens, young adults, and families. When you give to Wellroot, 100% of your gift provides children and families the power to realize their God-given potential. Give a gift that nourishes the soul and helps create a safe, loving home.
After all, home is where we belong, and now, more than ever, home matters.
Please give online at wellroot.org/AmazingGrace or text “AG2020” to 41444. You may also mail a check directly to Wellroot, or give a check to Harmony Grove and designate your gift to Amazing Grace.

We wish Craig Burnett well as he is back at college in New York state. Blessings for him as he continues his education.
